Earbuds FAQ

Common questions about translation earbuds, pairing, music, calls, and media translation.

How do the translation earbuds work?
The earbuds connect to your phone through Bluetooth and work together with the companion app to capture speech, process the translation, and play the translated result in real time.
Do I need to pay for translation on the Z50S earbuds?
No. Translation is free for life with no extra fees or subscription required. The earbuds must be connected to a smartphone, and the phone screen should remain on during use.
Can I use the earbuds for music and calls?
Yes. All earbuds support music playback and regular phone calls. The 22 Pro also supports real-time call translation, while the Z50S does not support standard call translation. However, both models support VoIP call translation (internet calls), which is currently available for calls to the United States and Canada only.
What is the Audio-Video Simultaneous Translation feature?
It allows you to translate video content in real time. Simply start recognition, then play a video in another app, such as TikTok or YouTube, and the translation will appear in a floating window.
What's the difference between source languages and target languages in offline mode?
In offline mode, the source language is the language you speak, and the target language is the language it gets translated into. For example, English can be used as both a source language and a target language. However, some languages can only be used as target languages, meaning they can be translated into but not spoken for translation.

Offline mode supports 21 source languages and 57 target languages. You can check the full list of supported language pairs in the app.
If I buy your translation device, do I still need to pay for the software?
No, if you purchase our translation hardware (such as earbuds, handheld translator, or smart glasses), you get lifetime free access to the companion software — no subscriptions or extra fees required.

We also offer standalone translation software with a wide range of features and formats. However, some advanced features require purchasing credits to unlock full functionality.

Compared to software, buying our hardware is more cost-effective—you get full access to the integrated translation software completely free for life..
Can two people each wear one earbud during a conversation?
Yes. In supported conversation modes, each person can wear one earbud for smoother two-way communication, which is especially useful in face-to-face conversations.

Dual-Screen Translator FAQ

Common questions about handheld translators, travel use, photo translation, and connectivity.

What is the difference between Single-Screen and Dual-Screen translation modes?
Both modes support automatic recognition of two languages and real-time translation.
