How to Use the Transcribe Feature?
The Transcribe feature in the iTourTranslator App offers simultaneous interpretation and recording capabilities, enabling real-time voice translation during meetings, lectures, and livestreams. Follow these steps to get started:
🧭 Step 1: Open the Transcribe Tool
Go to the Home screen, then tap Transcribe to enter the simultaneous interpretation feature.
🗣 Step 2: Choose Your Interpretation Mode
Tap to select your preferred interpretation type and enter the interface. Set your own language and the speaker's language.
When the meeting or conversation begins, tap the microphone icon in the center to start interpreting.
🔈 Audio Mode Options:
- External Audio: For in-person meetings or classrooms, use your phone’s microphone to capture surrounding sound.
- Internal Audio: For translating from apps like TikTok, livestreams, or media players, choose internal audio recording.
⚠️ Note: Internal audio mode does not support phone calls, Zoom, WeChat calls, or similar system-based apps.
🔗 Step 3: Share the Translation with Others
To share your translation session with others:
- Tap the More button (top right corner).
- Select a sharing option like WeChat or other apps.
- The recipient will receive a link to open the live translation in their browser.
🌍 Step 4: How Others View the Translation
- The link can be opened on both mobile and desktop browsers.
- Recipients can view real-time translation without installing the app.
- For a better view, the link can be opened on a desktop if mobile feels inconvenient.
⚠️ Important: The phone running the translation session must remain active. Closing the app will stop the translation.
📚 Step 5: Review History After the Meeting
If any translation content is missed or unclear during the session, you can review it later through the history section:
- Simultaneous Interpretation → History
- Mine → History
This feature helps you go back and review important details anytime after the meeting or class.
