iTour A1 Smart Glasses User Manual

The iTour A1 AR Glasses are designed to be used in conjunction with the iTourAR App. Before using the product, please complete the app download, device connection, and all required permission authorizations to ensure proper operation of all features.


I. iTourAR App Download & Connection

1. App Download

Scan the official QR code to download and install the iTourAR App.

2. Connecting the Glasses

  1. Launch the iTourAR App and select iTour A1;

  1. Ensure the glasses are powered on and the display is active, then tap [Connect]

  1. If the connection fails, tap [Go to Settings] or [Manual Connection];
  2. Go to your phone’s system Settings > Bluetooth, search for and connect to iTour A1 Glass XXXX;

  1. Once Bluetooth shows “Connected,” return to the app. When the status displays “Connected” and the glasses battery level is visible, the connection is successful.

Notes for Android Devices:
During first-time use, authorization for Precise Location and Nearby Devices permissions is required. Without these permissions, the app may not function properly.

 

II. All Features 

1. Conversation Translation

Supports real-time online bilingual translation. Translated content is synchronized and displayed on the glasses, making it suitable for face-to-face communication scenarios.

  • When translating from the right-side language to the left-side language, audio is played through the phone speaker.
  • When translating from the left-side language to the right-side language, audio is played through the glasses.

Related Settings

1) Audio Input Method
The default audio input source is the phone microphone. This can be switched to the glasses microphone.

Note:
When the glasses microphone is enabled, glasses audio playback is automatically disabled. These two functions cannot be used simultaneously.

2) Voice Playback Settings
Supports selection of voice gender and adjustment of speech rate.

3) Display Style
Supports enabling the display of original text. Allows customization of original text and translated text colors, as well as font size, on the phone.

4) History Records
When enabled, all recognized content is displayed on the glasses. When disabled, only the current recognition result is displayed.

5) Floating Window Translation
When enabled, translation continues in floating window mode after the app moves to the background. When disabled, translation stops when the app enters the background.

iOS: Enabled by default.
Android: Requires manual activation.

Android Activation Process:
Enable [Background Translation] → Grant background notification and floating window permissions (select iTourAR App) → Return to the app and start translation → Move the app to the background.

6) Service Node Selection
The system automatically selects the optimal translation service node based on your current location.

  • If translation recognition fails, go to [Settings] → [Translation Service Node] to switch to another node.
  • Nodes marked with a green indicator represent currently available nodes.
  • If all nodes are unavailable, the current network connection may be weak. It is recommended to switch networks and try again.

7) Audio Device
By default, the system uses the most recently connected Bluetooth audio device.

  • If a device other than iTour A1 Glasses is selected, the glasses microphone and glasses audio playback functions will be unavailable.
  • When U6 Speaker is selected, translated audio will be played through the U6 speaker.

System Notes:
Android: Ensure the Bluetooth device status is “Connected / In Use.”
iOS: Confirm that the correct audio output device is selected in Control Center.

Note:
On Android devices, switching audio devices must be completed manually in Bluetooth settings. Before switching back to the glasses, please disconnect any other connected Bluetooth devices.

 


2. VoiceSync Translation

Supports real-time multilingual translation with natural speech playback using a cloned version of your voice.

  • Left Button: Translates and plays audio using your cloned voice through the phone speaker.
  • Right Button: Translates and plays audio through the glasses for the wearer.

Related Settings

1) Audio Input Method

When the glasses microphone is enabled, glasses audio playback is automatically disabled.

2) Display Content
By default, the glasses display translated text only. Original text display can be enabled in the settings.

3) Display Style
Supports customization of original and translated text colors and font size on the phone.

4) Display History
When enabled, all recognized content is displayed. When disabled, only the current content is displayed.

5) Floating Window Translation

When enabled, the app continues translating in the background via a floating window. When disabled, background translation will stop. This feature is enabled by default on iOS and must be manually enabled on Android.

Android Activation Process:
Enable [Background Translation] → Grant background notification and floating window permissions (iTourAR App) → Return to the app and start translation → Move the app to the background.


3. Listening Translation

Provides one-way speech recognition and translation, with bilingual subtitles displayed on the glasses. Suitable for classrooms, lectures, and meetings.

Modes:

  • Premium Resources: Uses end-to-end speech translation with fast response and high accuracy, particularly optimized for Chinese–English translation.
  • AI Resources: Powered by large-scale AI models. For less commonly used languages, it delivers higher translation accuracy than the premium resources and supports industry-specific terminology.

Both the phone and the glasses display recognition and translation results.
Glasses display translated text by default; original text can be enabled.

3) Display Style
Supports voice gender selection, speech rate adjustment, and text color and font size customization.

4) Display History
When enabled, all recognized content is displayed. When disabled, only the current content is displayed.

5) Floating Window Translation

When enabled, translation continues in floating window mode after the app moves to the background. When disabled, translation stops when the app enters the background.

iOS: Enabled by default.
Android: Requires manual activation.

6) Audio Device
Defaults to the most recently connected Bluetooth device. If not iTour A1 Glasses, glasses microphone and playback are unavailable.

Note:
On Android devices, switching audio devices will automatically redirect to Bluetooth settings and must be completed manually. Before switching back to the glasses, disconnect any other connected Bluetooth devices.


4. Offline Translation

Supports downloading offline language packs in advance, allowing real-time translation without an internet connection.

Related Settings

1) Background Translation

  • When enabled, translation continues in floating window mode after the app moves to the background.
  • When disabled, translation stops once the app enters the background.

iOS: Enabled by default.
Android: Requires manual activation.

Android Activation Path:
Enable [Background Translation] → Grant background notification and floating window permissions → Return to the app and start translation → Move the app to the background.

2) Audio Input Switching
Default: Phone microphone. Can be switched to glasses microphone.

3) Display Content
Both phone and glasses display translation content.

4) Glasses History Display

When enabled, historical recognition content is displayed. When disabled, only the current content is displayed.

5) Display Style
Supports voice gender, speech rate, and text color and font size customization.


5. Phone Call Translation

Supports two-way translation during phone calls, allowing both parties to speak in their native languages.

  • Supported regions: United States and Canada only.
  • By default, only the other party’s speech is translated. Tap the translation button to enable translation for your own speech.
  • Supports opening phrases, preset phrases, playback voice, and font size settings.

6. Speaking Practice

Enhances daily, travel, and workplace spoken language skills through scenario-based conversations, follow-along practice, and pronunciation scoring.

Supports viewing historical conversation records and scoring results.


7. Speech Recognition

Converts speech to text only, without translation. Suitable for meeting notes and classroom transcription.

Supports background recognition, microphone switching, history display, and font style customization.


8. AI Companion

Integrated with the ChatGPT large language model, enabling instant question-and-answer interactions. Photo-based inquiries are also supported.

  • Tap “Clear” to clear history records.
  • Supports multi-turn continuous conversations.
  • Supports photo capture or gallery image upload.
  • Long-press text or images to copy, delete, or share.

9. Teleprompter Function

Supports teleprompter projection on the glasses, suitable for speeches, live streaming, and meetings.

  • Supports creating or importing scripts
  • Supports automatic or manual page turning
  • Maximum file size: 30 KB

Supported File Formats:
Android: txt / pdf / srt
iOS: txt / pdf / docx / srt


10. Navigation

After entering a destination on the phone, routes, distance, and navigation instructions are displayed on the glasses in real time.


11. History Records

Supports saving conversation translation, listening translation, speech recognition, and AI translation records.

Records can be exported as TXT / PDF / SRT files or audio files.


III. Translation Languages

The product supports 110 online translation languages and 19 offline translation languages.

The system interface supports 7 languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, French, Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese.
