iTour Chat Translation is a powerful browser extension designed to assist with real-time multilingual communication. This guide will walk you through the installation process and key features step by step, helping you get started quickly and use the tool effectively.

1. Download Links

Start by downloading the extension using one of the following methods, depending on your browser.

  Note: If you encounter an error stating that the extension cannot read or compatible with your browser, please update your browser to the latest version.
• Direct ZIP Download: Download here

⚠️ Important: It is recommended not to use a VPN while using the extension. VPNs may interfere with translation functionality.

2. Installation Steps

Once downloaded, follow these steps to install the extension into your browser.

1. Visit the appropriate link above and click [Get] (Edge) or [Add to Chrome].
2. Confirm by clicking [Add Extension].
3. Once added, the iTour Chat Translation icon will appear in the upper-right corner of your browser, indicating successful installation.

3. Launching the Extension

Here’s how to access and activate the extension once it's installed.

• Click the iTour Chat Translation icon in the upper-right corner of any webpage.
• Right-click on the page and select "iTour Chat".
• The chat panel will appear on the right side, showing translation features.

💡 Note: Reload any open pages to activate the extension after installation.

4. Login & Registration

Log in or sign up to access all features and personalize your experience.

Click the user avatar to open the login/registration page. Once logged in, all features will be available.

5. Web Page Translation

Translate the current webpage instantly with just one click.

• Click [Web Translation] in the iTour Chat panel.

Translation Icon Status:

• 🟡 Untranslated
• 🟢 Translated – Bilingual View
• 🔵 Translated – Target Language Only

🌐 Default Language: English → Chinese
To change the translation direction, go to Settings > Web Translation.

6. Edit Translation

Translate custom text manually and copy the results instantly.

• Click [Edit] to open the text editor.
• Select your language pair, enter the text, then click [Translate] or press Enter.
• The result will be copied automatically — you can paste it where needed (Ctrl + V).

7. Voice Translation

Translate spoken content in real time during meetings, videos, or audio playback.

1. Open any webpage and launch iTour Chat.
2. Click [Voice Translation].
3. Select the languages and click [Start].
4. Select the window/tab with the audio you want to translate.

Option 1: Desktop Audio (e.g., Zoom)

• Select [Entire Screen]
• Click the preview and enable “Share system audio”
• Click [Share]

Option 2: Browser Tab Audio

• Select a Chrome tab and check “Share tab audio”
• Click [Share]

🛑 Note: Click [Stop Sharing] to end translation and avoid unnecessary charges.

8. Helpful Tips

Make the most of iTour Chat Translation with these important reminders.

• To save voice translation records, click [Download] in the flip panel. Otherwise, the records will not be saved.
• If you're not using voice translation, turn it off to avoid ongoing credit usage.
