How to Use the Speech Recognition Feature?

The Speech Recognition function in the iTourTranslator App helps convert spoken language into real-time text. Ideal for meetings, lectures, and in-app audio translation.

1. Access the Feature

Go to the “More” tab on the home screen and tap “Speech Recognition.”

2. Choose a Recognition Mode

Select the mode that fits your scenario, whether you're translating live speech or audio played from your phone.

3. Set Language, Hotwords, and Audio Mode

• Languages: Choose the spoken and target translation languages.
• Hotwords: It feature improves recognition accuracy by helping the app better identify specific terms, especially those with multiple pronunciations or that are often misrecognized.
• Audio Input:
  • External Audio: Records sound through your phone’s microphone (e.g., meetings, lectures).
  • Internal Audio: Captures sound played within your phone (e.g., app audio or video).

4. Start Translation

Tap the Start button to begin speech recognition and translation. Text will appear in real time.

🛠️ In-Session Tools

• Use on-screen buttons to underline, comment, highlight, or open a floating window.
• Tap the Settings icon in the top-right to adjust font size, text color, or layout.
• Export your transcript after translation for later reference.

Tip: Use in a quiet environment for better accuracy. Saved records can be managed from the History section.
