How to Use the Video Call Translation?

With iTourTranslator, you can invite friends from third-party apps (like WeChat, WhatsApp, or Messenger) to join a real-time translated video or voice call — even if they don’t have the app installed. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

📲 Step 1: Access the Video Call Feature

Open the iTourTranslator App, go to Home screen, then tap Video Call to enter the Select Chat App page.

🤝 Step 2: Choose the App Your Friend Uses

Select the messaging app your friend uses — for example, WeChat, WhatsApp, or Messenger.

🌍 Step 3: Select Languages and Call Type

Choose your friend's language and the type of call: Video or Voice. Then click Invite to generate a call link and send it through the selected chat app.

📞 Step 4: Return to iTourTranslator & Wait

After sending the link, go back to the iTourTranslator App, open the Calling Page, and wait for your friend to join.

🔗 Step 5: Friend Joins the Call

Your friend taps the link and selects “Continue using browser” to join the call. Once connected, real-time translation will begin automatically.

🔁 Step 6: Control the Translation Function

During the call, tap “Do Not Translate” to pause translation if needed. If both parties use the same language, the call will proceed without translation by default.

📷 Step 7: Ensure Permissions Are Enabled

  • Voice Translation: Microphone access + Internet
  • Video Translation: Camera + Microphone + Internet

Check your phone settings if the app doesn’t prompt for permissions automatically.

🔄 Step 8: Troubleshooting

If translation content doesn’t appear, tap the [Refresh] button in the top-right corner of the call screen.
